The Origin of Gifts of Love

In September of 1989, several Simsbury residents decided to help other area families who were experiencing financial difficulty due to corporate downsizing and layoffs by providing groceries.

Word began to spread throughout the community about how little it took to do so much for neighbors in need. Over time, this simple idea-generosity and kindness from neighbor to neighbor, from family to family-grew into Gifts of Love.

Over twenty years later we are still devoted to the needs of the community and responding to the same crisis - and will continue to assist families inneed with food, clothing, household goods and furniture.
