100 Days of School

100th Day Collection - Gifts of Love picks up donations at Cherry Brook Primary School - Article in Canton Patch

Canton Celebrates 100 Days Of School

Gifts of Love collected more than 2,000 items at Cherry Brook Primary School Wednesday, the culmination of a 100th day food drive. A total of 30 classrooms each collected a different item for the drive, which included canned goods, pasta, coffee, non-food items like soap and much more.

Students used the 100 items for math exercises and other projects, and then the donations went to Gifts of Love and families in need in our area. Some of the enrichment students were responsible for compiling and charting the donations throughout the drive, which began Jan. 18. After the items were loaded into the Gifts of Love truck, Chris Napierski, outreach coordinator for the organization, and Cherry Brook principal Andy Robbin went to each class, thanked the kids for their donations and reiterated the idea of helping others.
